Nantes manager Antoine Kombouare has lamented the absence of Moses Simon due to injury.
Simon fractured his ankle during Nigeria’s international friendly against Mali on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old underwent a successful surgery on Friday and will miss the remainder of the season.
Kombouare admitted the winger will be missed as Nantes continue their fight against relegation.
“We are sad for him (Simon) because he wanted to come back and help the team,” Kombouare told the club’s official website.
That is not the case. Now we have to do without him.
“It’s a huge blow for the team.”
Simon has scored three goals and provided six assists in 22 league appearances for the Canaries this season.
