Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon will go under the knife on Friday for an ankle injury.
The Nantes of France player copped the injury during Nigeria’s international friendly against the Eagles of Mali on Tuesday.
Simon was stretchered off the pitch in the first half after colliding with Mali goalkeeper Mamadou Samassa.
Nantes confirmed he has been ruled out for the rest of the season on Wednesday.
Simon’s absence will be a big blow for the Canaries, who are battling to escape relegation this season.
The Nigerian has registered three goals and six assists this season.
He recently signed a new three-year contract with Nantes.
