Holders Manchester City reached the final of the FA Cup after a 1-0 victory against Chelsea.
Chelsea, who were in ascendancy for most of the game were to pay for their wastefulness.
Nicolas Jackson was guilty for most of the chances the Blues failed to convert in the keenly contested encounter.
The Senegal international was also denied twice in quick succession by goalkeeper Stefan Ortega early in the second half.
Manchester City struggled to find their rhythm for most of the game following their elimination from the UEFA Champions League in midweek.

The Citizens will be back at Wembley for their second successive FA Cup final on May 25 to face either Manchester United or Coventry, who face off in other semi-final at Wembley on Sunday.
