The police on Tuesday, arraigned Omotayo Saheed, 23, in a Grade A Customary Court, Ibadan over an alleged burglary.
Saheed, whose address was not provided, was charged with house breaking and malicious damage, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Mr Philip Amusan told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence on May 27, at about 8. 00 p.m., at Ologuneru area, Ibadan.
Amusan alleged that the defendant broke into the house of one Joseph Adesina and stole his Plasma television worth N350,000, air conditioner worth N500,000 and bunch of keys.
Amusan alleged that the defendant also maliciously damaged Adeshina’s roofing sheets and POP ceilings worth N515,000.
He said the offences contravened Sections 412 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Court’s President, Mrs Mojisola Aworemi, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Aworemi said that the sureties must be blood relations of the defendant and should provide evidence of three years tax clearance.
She thereafter adjourned the case until June 24 for hearing. (NAN)
