A Chief Magistrate’s Court sitting at Mapo in Ibadan, on Wednesday, sentenced a 22- year-old man, Anthony Joshua, to three months imprisonment for stealing an Andriod mobile phone, valued at N90,000.
The Magistrate, Mrs O.O. Latunji, summarily tried and convicted the defendant on the charge of stealing, following his guilty plea.
“This sentence will serve as a warning to other criminals that crime of any form does not pay.

“The mobile phone is restituted to the complainant,” Latunji ruled.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Insp Oluseye Akinola, told the court that Joshua committed the crime on July 29 at about 5.30 p.m. at Palm Cushion Restaurant, Felele area of Ibadan.
