Ademola Lookman has been named in the UEFA Europa League Team of the Season.
Lookman was the only Nigerian in the Europa League Best X1 selected by the UEFA Technical Observer panel.
The winger made the selection for the first time.
The 26-year-old netted a stunning hat-trick in Atalanta’s Europa League final victory over Bayer Leverkusen at the Aviva Stadium on Wednesday night.
He was the first African to score three goals in the final of a major European competition.
It was Atalanta’s first trophy in 61 years and the first time they will be winning an European competition.
Lookman has scored 15 goals across all competitions for Atalanta this season. READ ALSO:
