By Gracious Akujobi The Chief Operating Officer of the League Management Company (LMC), Salihu Abubakar has assured Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Nigeria Referees Association (NRA) of support in capacity building and development programmes that will lead to improved handling of Glo Premier League matches.
Abubakar spoke at the sidelines of the NRA annual fitness tests holding in Abuja.
According to LMC’s Harry Iwuala, the annual fitness test began on Sunday with the medical evaluation while the physical evaluation will be completed on Friday with the Cooper tests for FIFA listed Referees.
The Chief Operating Officer praised the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for organizing the assessment test for the Referees ahead of the new season and promised that the LMC will always collaborate with development partners in bringing about desired improvements to the domestic football.
He recalled that the LMC had in the past provided assistance to significant stakeholders in the Nigeria Professional Football League and listed some of them to include the NRA, Association of Professional Footballers of Nigeria (APFON), the Nigeria National League (NNL) and the NationWide League (NWL) amongst others.
