Mr Emmanuel Leweh, the Chairmanship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, says that his administration will give topmost priority to the welfare of widows and other people of the area, if given the mandate on Oct. 6 local government polls in the state
Leweh gave the assurance on Friday in Akwanga while playing host to Tabitha Widows Group from the area.
The chairmanship candidate said that given topmost priority to the welfare of the widows would not only improve on their standard of living but would also improve on the standard of living of their family members.
“This will promote peace and bring speedy development to our area and the state at large.
“I want to solicit for your votes and support to enable me win the upcoming local government election in the state.
“I will key into positive policies and prgrammes that will improve on your standard of living and that of other people of our area.
“I have a good blueprint that will change your lives and the lives of other people positively, if given the mandate on Oct.6,” he said.
Leweh, while appreciating the widows for the visit, has also assured them of all inclusive governance in order to give them a sense of belonging and to enable them contribute their quota to the development of the area.
He urged them and other people of the area to continue to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed beyond 2023.
The chairmanship candidate further called on them to live peacefully and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations.
Earlier, the Leader of the group, Mrs Tabitha Bakyu, said that the visit was to assure Leweh of their support and prayers ahead of the local government polls in the state.
She was assured of the group’s continued readiness to support the state government policies and prgrammes to succeed at all times. ( NAN)
