Nigeria’s Super Eagles slide in seven places according to the latest ranking of the World soccer governing body, FIFA, released on Thursday.
The newest ranking shows that Nigeria dropped down in 7 places to 34th position in the world and 5th in Africa.
Nigeria’s senior national team garnered 1480 points as against 1487 it recorded in the previous ranking.
Senegal remained the number one team in Africa and ranked 21st in the World.
Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles maintained 2nd position in the continent and 28th in Africa.
Africa champion Algeria moved 12 places to 30th in the world and 3rd in Africa.
Super Eagles of Nigeria will have the opportunity to improve their ranking when the 2022 FIFA world cup qualifiers resume in September 2021.
