A Lagos-based content creator and thrift vendor, popularly known as Fems Thrift, has accused a man of raping her and her friend after allegedly luring them to a supposed modelling shoot in the Ajao Estate area of the state.
In a video shared on her TikTok page and sighted on Wednesday, the content creator claimed the incident occurred on Friday, February 8, after she was approached on Instagram by a man who said he had recently returned from the United Kingdom to establish an international fashion brand in Nigeria.
According to her, the suspect offered her N140,000 for the modelling engagement and requested that she use her social media platforms to promote the brand.
She said initial contact was made on February 1, and she agreed to participate after being assured that a make-up artist and other members of a production crew would be present at the location.
“My friend was already with me, so she decided to accompany me for safety,” she said in the video.
The content creator stated that she and her friend arrived at the apartment around 11am on the scheduled date but found the premises largely empty.
She alleged that the man explained that the space was used for content creation and that the make-up artist had briefly stepped out.
He reportedly asked her to take a shower, claiming her skin was oily, and handed her a robe to wear ahead of the shoot.
After she had changed, she alleged that the man entered the room with a key under the pretext of demonstrating how to secure the door before other crew members arrived.
“He locked the door and stood in a corner. That was when I became scared,” she recounted.
She further alleged that the suspect produced a knife, ordered both women to undress, restrained them with socks and threatened them with harm if they resisted.
The content creator accused the man of sexually assaulting them repeatedly.
She also claimed that before allowing them to leave, the suspect confiscated their phones, forced them to unlock private folders and transferred personal images and videos to his device, allegedly threatening to release the materials online if they reported the incident.
“He threatened to use my online presence against me, saying he would release my private videos if I spoke about what happened,” she said.
The victims reportedly left the apartment between 2pm and 3pm that day.
The video has since sparked outrage on social media, with users demanding the suspect’s arrest and urging law enforcement authorities to investigate the allegations. Some individuals also circulated images said to be of the alleged perpetrator.
