Speaking to State House Correspondents after the closed doors meeting with Tinubu, Ajaero expressed Labour’s optimism that the meetings on Wednesday with the President and the intervention by the National Assembly (NASS) will lead to the resolution of the demands of the organised labour.
According to him,, the meeting with Tinubu went well, saying that the President is himself a political activist who understands what protests meant to the civil society hemce he spoke to the NLC and TUC leadership in a manner that shows appreciation of the struggle embarked upon by the unions.
Ajaero also said that Labour may consider the appeal by the leadership of NASS to give them one week to resolve the labour unions dispute with the federal reserve, adding that it is left for the union members to accept or reject the cards put on the table by the President and NASS.
Asked if the nationwide protest will continue tomorrow, the veteran labour leader said he and Osifo will take the message from Tinubu to members and affiliate bodies to determine the next line of action. READ ALSO:
