By: Gracious Akujobi The Chairman of the Kogi state-owned clubs, Abdul Adama has named Fatai Osho and Oluwole Babatunde “Santana” as chief coaches of Kogi United Football Club and Confluence Queens Football Club respectively.
Osho who was the former head coach of Remo Stars FC will be assisted by Omale Jonathan, a former coach of Hoppers FC in Cotonou, Benin Republic and the Nigeria National League side Kogi United.
On his part, Oluwole, a former Head coach of C.I. Angels, Agbor will be aided by Suleiman Adamu at the Nigeria Women Premier League side Confluence Queens.
Also, Abdul Sule was appointed as the Technical Adviser to Kogi United Football Club while a former coach trainer at the Nigeria senior Women National team, Super Falcons, Enwere Charity Nnedinma joins the Confluence Queens Football Club coaching crew as coach trainer.
The spokesman of the chairman of Kogi United and Confluence Queens FC, Samuel Ahmadu, confirmed the appointments in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday.
According to the statement, “the new coaches for Kogi United FC will resume office on Thursday, 17th October, 2013 while those for Confluence Queens FC take up their various roles on 1st November, 2013. The appointed coaches are mandated to contact their various team managers”.
The newly constituted coaching crews follow the recent appointments of Henry Ameh as team manager of Kogi United and Owolabi David Ayo as team manager of Confluence Queens FC.
Adama directed the new coaches to recruit the best among the players necessary for the actualization of the dream of management of the teams and wish them good luck in their various assignments.
