Tragedy has struck the Federal College of Education, Okene, Kogi State, following the discovery of the lifeless body of a 20-year-old student, Suleiman Rahama Onono, who had been declared missing for over a week.

Onono, a student of the institution, was reported missing about two Saturdays ago, a development that triggered anxiety among her family members, colleagues, and school authorities.

Security operatives subsequently began investigations into her sudden disappearance.

The discovery of her body has thrown the college community into deep mourning, with students and staff struggling to come to terms with the incident.

The deceased was described by those who knew her as a quiet, focused, and dedicated student whose absence had caused widespread concern on campus.

Since the news broke, tributes and condolence messages have continued to pour in from within and outside the institution, as sympathisers lamented the tragic loss.

Security agencies have commenced a full-scale investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and death, while efforts are ongoing to identify those responsible.

Meanwhile, the management of the Federal College of Education, Okene, has assured students and staff of its resolve to strengthen security measures within and around the campus.
