Former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu is set to take over as chairman of Nigeria Premier League champions, Enyimba Football Club of Aba.
Erstwhile chairman of the club, Felix Anyansi-Agwu was relieved of his post this week.
Kanu is now expected to take over the affairs of the two-time African champions.
Under Anyansi-Agwu, Enyimba won nine Nigeria Premier League title and four Federation Cup titles.
The Peoples’ Elephant also made history as the first Nigerian club to win the CAF Champions League.
Enyimba are among the teams that will compete at the Naija Super 8 playoffs next week in Lagos.
