The Kaduna State House of Assembly, has extended an investigation it has started on the supply of potable drinking water to the entire state.
The house made the extension on Wednesday after the Chairman of the ad-hoc committee on the investigation in Kaura, Ikara and Jaba Constituencies, Mr Ali Kalat, presented a report, which was adopted by the house.
Earlier, the Member representing Jaba constituency, Mr Henry Marah, suggested that the house should intervene to ensure that staffers of the State Water Corporation received their salaries on time
He added that the Ministry of Water Resources should be reintroduced in order to have a lasting solution to the problem of water supply in the state.

Meanwhile, the bill for a law to establish the Kaduna State Electrification Agency has passed second reading.
The Speaker of the House, Mr Dahiru Liman, however, adjourned the house’s sitting to Tuesday. (NAN)
