Top officials from a local government in Ondo State, including the Treasurer and the Head of Local Government Administration, have been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over suspected fraudulent activities.
Sources say the arrests are connected to their involvement in a questionable deal dating back to 2017.
The officials were reportedly detained by the EFCC for questioning, and as of the time of the report, they remain in custody.
