Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, Mr Felix Hyet, has cautioned politicians against making unguided utterances that could caste doubts on the neutrality of the Judiciary.
Hyet threw the word of caution in Kaduna on Wednesday while addressing newsmen.
He said any action capable of giving room for doubts, is not in the best interest of democracy, saying the integrity of the Judicial arm, must be protected at all costs.
He also tasked courts and Election Petition Tribunals to ensure fairness in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Hyet said the call became necessary as litigations were likely to trail the just concluded Council polls in the state.
The Chairman also noted that contrary to expectations, the use of the Electronic Voting Machines (EVM), did not rid the elections of irregularities. (NAN)
