Alex Iwobi is now the Nigerian with the second highest number of appearances in the English Premier League.
Iwobi made his 274 Premier League appearance in Fulham’s 3-2 defeat to West Ham United at the London Stadium on Tuesday night.
Prompt News reports that the 28-year-old scored a brace in the keenly contested encounter.
The versatile midfielder previously played for Arsenal and Everton.
Former Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi is the Nigerian with the highest number of appearances in the English top-flight (293).
Yakubu Aiyegbeni, a former Portsmouth, Everton and Blackburn forward and Chelsea hero, John Mikel Obi complete the top five.
