Nigeria winger Alex Iwobi was in action as Everton went down to 3-1 home defeat against champions Manchester City in their Premier League clash at the Goodison Park on Saturday night.
Iwobi started the game on the bench but took the place of the injured Theo Walcott in the seventh minute.
It was the former Arsenal player fifth league appearance for the Toffees albeit he has one goal for the club.
Everton have now lost four of their last five Premier League games
Gabriel Jesus gave City the lead in the 24th minute following a quick raid by Riyad Mahrez.
The Algerian passed inside to Kevin De Bruyne and the Belgian delivered a typically inviting cross for Jesus to head home.
The home side hit back with a strike from Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
City secured the points after Mahrez beat Jordan Pickford with a low free-kick and Raheem Sterling struck via the woodwork
