Former NFF Executive Committee member and Vice Chairman of Lobi Star of Makurdi, Dominic Iorfa has commended Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi for reviving the national team.
Speaking shortly after watching the home Eagles beat TEAP FC 2-0 in a warm up match at the training pitch of the Goal Project, Iorfa said Keshi has been able to inject live into the Eagles with the emergence of new players who are hungry for success.
He said with the way Keshi has been able to build the home boys’ confidence that they can play against anybody, the competition for shirts is now very keen and good for the development of the team.
“Keshi has done very well in building a solid Super Eagles that after winning the AFCON look set to win CHAN again.
He has been able to prove to those who are of the view that nothing good comes from our league with the break through made by the local boys”
“With what I saw today I don’t see the Eagles losing against Ivory Coast in the return leg. The boys would qualify and if possible win the cup. These boys are good and ready to go” he noted
The former Green Eagles said that after CHAN that some foreign based would find it difficult breaking into the squad.
