Former Italy international Lorenzo Insigne has supported Victor Osimhen’s loan move to Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray.
Osimhen had the chance to join either Al-Ahli or Chelsea on transfer deadline day but the move fell through.
Prompt News reports that the Nigerian instead moved to Galatasaray on a season-long deal.
Insigne posited that the striker has the right to make his choice.
“I didn’t expect it. Victor is smart, and I am sure he made his own choices,” he told Il Corriere dello Sport.
Insigne played with Osimhen at Napoli and is happy his friend joined another ex-Napoli star in Turkey.
“I don’t know what happened with Napoli, but I’m happy for him, especially because he’ll play with Mertens. I can see that they have fun together,”he added.
