The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Alhaji Abdullahi Mukhtar has urged Nigerian pilgrims to comply with rules and regulations of the Saudi Arabian authority governing the conducts of hajj.
Mukhtar made the call on Wednesday in Katsina at the inaugural flight ceremony for the 2019 hajj.
“Comply with rules and regulations on security, crowd control, safety and medical advises.
“Pilgrims should not carry colanut to the Holy land, though we use it here in ceremonies.
“That was due to narcotic control, we should abide by that,” he said.
The chairman also said that drugs would be administered on them on arrival in the Holy land.
The chairman said that they should obey their leaders during the hajj exercise in order to achieve the desired objective.
“We welcome complaints, comments and concrete criticisms on how we can improve on our duty. We are human beings, bear with us in areas of our shortcomings,” he said.
In his remarks, the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir, urged the pilgrims to pray for the nation while in the Holy land.
He also urged them to avoid spending their money recklessness.
