Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared that he would secure overwhelming support from Nigerians if he decides to contest for the presidency.
Wike made the remark on Monday during a media parley with selected journalists, where he expressed confidence in his political standing and national appeal.
According to him, Nigerians still hold him in high regard and would turn out in large numbers to back his ambition should he join the presidential race.
He stressed that his ability to relate with everyday Nigerians distinguishes him from many politicians, noting that his record in public office remains his strongest campaign asset.
The former governor of Rivers State maintained that his achievements while serving in the oil-rich state, as well as his ongoing efforts as FCT Minister, would continue to speak in his favour.
