Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is expecting big things from new signing Kelechi Iheanacho, Prompt News reports.
Iheanacho joined the Scottish Premiership champions on a one-year contract with the option an additional year on Tuesday.The Nigeria international was signed as a free agent by Celtic.
The 28-year-old’s contract was terminated by Spanish club Sevilla on Monday.
Iheanacho is reuniting with Rodgers after the pair worked together at Leicester City.
Rodgers believed Iheanacho will a good addition for Celtic.
“I know Kelechi so well and what he can bring to the team. He is such a talented player, with great ability, athleticism and work-rate,” the gaffer told the club’s official website.
“I am sure he will love being at Celtic and I believe our fans will love what he brings. He has great experience and he is right in his peak years so he can be a great signing for us. I am sure he will make a big contribution to the team.”
