Kelechi Iheanacho sat out training on Thursday night as the Super Eagles begin preparations for their second round clash at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Leicester City star has been one of Nigeria’s top performers in the competition.
The 25-year-old didn’t participate in the team’s training session at the VSTS-ANNEX, Roumde Adjia Stadium, Garoua.
The forward set up Sadiq’s opening goal in Nigeria’s 2-0 win against Guinea-Bissau on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old has scored one goal and provided one assist in the competition.
The Super Eagles are still waiting to know their second round opponent at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
