Kelechi Iheanacho is determined to make positive impact at Sky Bet Championship club Middlesbrough.
Middlesbrough signed the Nigeria international on a six-month loan deal from LaLiga club, Sevilla on transfer deadline day.
Iheanacho failed to settle down at Sevilla with zero goal in nine league appearances.
The 28-year-old however netted thrice in two outings in the Copa del Rey.
The striker expressed his excitement after linking up with Michael Carrick’s side.
“I’m really excited to be here, it’s a lovely place, they’ve made me feel welcome so I’m really happy,” he told the club’s official website.
“The move went really quickly. Everything was quick and fast so I’m buzzing to be here. The coach is good, the team is good, and I’ve played against them few times and I think it’s a good club. The manager is a really nice guy and I’ve been speaking to him as well, so I’m happy to be here.”
