Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo scored twice as Shanghai Shenhua thrashed Beijing Renhe 5-1 in their Chinese Super League clash on Sunday at the Hongkou Stadium.
Ighalo hit the back of the net in the 35th and 66th minutes to help Shanghai Shenhua to victory in the game.
Giovanni Moreno, Cao Yunding and Zhang Lu scored the other goals for the home team.
Senegalese forward Makhete Diop scored Beijing Renhe ‘ s consolation goal four minutes from time.
The former Granada forward has now scored four goals in four league appearances for Shanghai Shenhua this season.
The Nigeria international is now joint top scorer in the CSL with four goals along with Eran Zahavi who plays for Guangzhou R&F.
He was second top scorer in the CSL last season with 21 goals in 28 appearances for his former club Changchun Yatai.
