The executives and members of Ibadan College of Medicine Alumni Association (ICOMAA), have expressed condolences to the immediate family of Otunba Olasubomi Balogun, who passed away Friday morning in London.
Chief Subomi Balogun, who was the Otunba Tunwashe of Ijebuland, was aged 89.
The association recalled that the founder of First City Merchant Bank (FCMB), funded Otunba Tuwashe Children Emergency Ward (OTCHEW) at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, noting “Majority of our Alumni passed through this ward and undertook their Paediatric training there.
“He was a philanthropist per excellence. We offer our deepest condolences to the immediate family and so many who have been beneficiaries of Chief Subomi Balogun’s philanthropy in his lifetime.
“We thank God for a remarkable and impactful life he led and lived in his lifetime.
