Artisans will enjoy a new lease of life from day one of my assumption of office as Governor of Osun state,the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party in the September polls,Senator Ademola Adeleke has promised.
“I will support artisans,drivers,traders and all categoriea of trade operators.Our government will introduce supportive programmes to ensure access to soft loans.I will stop punitive taxes”,he told members of Ajegunle Market Traders Association .
About 1500 members of the association had converged on the Ede residence of the PDP candidate to endorse his governorship bid.
“My government will serve the poor,the vulcanisers,bricklayers,mechanics and all artisans.My government will be your government.This current economic darkness will disappear under the light of our government”,the Senate Vice Chairman on Communication said.
Lamenting the ongoing economic depression among Osun indegenes ,the gubernatorial hopeful told the traders that “His government will be a compassionate one where workers will be paid regularly,where pensioners will have their dues,where inflation of contracts for self-enrichment will be a thing of the past.
“I have a validated blueprint to deliver on good governance in Osun state.I thank you for endorsing my candidature.Now let get out the votes”,he stated.
Speaking earlier ,the Chairman of the group,Alhaji Ganiyu Wakil told the PDP candidate that his members are ready to vote for him to put an end to the suffering of Osun people.
“We are here to endorse you.We are here to plegde our votes for you.We know you have good antecedent and records.You know the challenges facing artisans and traders in Osun.We know you are the right man for the job”,he said.
