By Gracious Akujobi President of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick has emphasized that he is not in any form of pressure to re- engage Stephen Keshi as Super Eagles coach.
Pinnick told the media in Abuja on Tuesday that though the NFF is talking with Keshi on the possibility of giving him a new contract, he is however not under any form of pressure from any quarters to retain him.
“We changed our resolve to re engage Keshi but there are issues to be tidied up in a contract between two parties.
“We have to look at so many issues like our budget, can we accommodate his demands and whether he can work with our technical study group
“Contracts are not signed over nights there are factors to be sorted out before we sign. We are talking with Keshi but I am not under pressure to employ Keshi, we just want to do the right things to work in harmony,” he said.
Meanwhile, The NFF Supremo also revealed that there are plans to take advantage of FIFA windows by engaging the Super Eagles in international friendly matches while the home based national team will be in camp in Abu Dhabi to play Cote d’ Ivoire and Mali just to keep them busy.
