Residents of Lagos suburbs especially around Abule Ado, Ijegemo in Ijegun; Ago Palace Way and Jakande Estate in Isolo as well as Amuwo Odofin areas were thrown into panic in the early hours of today after a suspected pipeline explosion.
The large explosion which was heard all across the above mentioned areas jolted the residents especially Sunday worshippers most of whom were either on their ways to church service or lready seated in the church.
A motorbike rider who ply the Jakande gate at Oke Afa, Isolo to Ijegun and Ikotun axis revealed that the impact of the explosion damaged nearby houses.
It was also gathered that the incident occurred at around 9 0’clock even as the officiating minister of St. Paul Anglican Church at Oke
Afa, Isolo, Venerable Chudi Obi, Ph.D at a point advised worshippers to be mindful of the explosion that occurred at nearby area.
Prompt News learnt that roofs and windows of some nearby houses were shattered when the explosion occurred.
Meanwhile, relevant authorities have not made any comments on the pipeline explosion as at press time.
