Determined bridge the digital divide with Artificial Intelligence, an indigenous firm, CDIAL has launched Artificial intelligence solutions Hub designed for Africans in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The Indigenius hub was sited at St. Mary’s Nursery/PrimarySchool in Osiele, Abeokuta, on July 16th, 2024 to onboard over 500 students and numerous young adults to transform the community through technology and education.
According to Shona Olalere Oluwatola, Co-Founder and CEO of CDIALAI “Nigeria faces asignificant demand and supply problem in the field of AI”.
He said on the demand side, AI technologies are rapidly growing, yet Nigeria lacks a prepared work force to utilize and drive this growth.
“On the supply side, existing AI tools like Chat GPT, CoPilot, and Gemini do not properly support any of Africa’s 2,147 languages, creating a gap in localized AI solutions”.
“It’simportantthatthereis access to reliable energy as students seek to learn artificial intelligence.”.
In her remarks, Mrs. Akinosi, the Headmistress of St Mary Anglican Nursery and Primary School emphasized the need for young learners to continue having unrestricted access to inclusive technology that can enhance their learning outcomes.

Present at the launch were top dignitaries including, Oba Olufemi Williams Olowonyo (Olubiyi 1 Olu Of Osiele), Hon. Bola Lawal Sembol (President National Executive Council Of Old Students Association), Dr Rafiu Adekola Soyele (Provost, Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, who was represented by Dr Mofikoya, Professor Grace Sokoya (Director AMREC FUNABB), Alhaji Sataar Omotola Oguntola (Executive Education Secretary Odeda Local Government Area).
