Governor Abdullahi A Sule of Nasarawa state has described the death of Professor Habu Galadima, Director General of the National Institute for Policy and strategic studies (NIPPS) as a profound loss not only to Nasarawa state but the country at large.
The assertion was contained in a statement, signed by the Chief press Secretary to the governor, Mr Ibrahim Addra and made available to newsmen in Lafia, on Monday.
“Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, the Executive governor of Nasarawa State has received with shock the news of the sudden demise of Professor Habu Galadima, Director General of the National Institute for Policy and strategic studies NIPPS which sad event occurred on Sunday 20th December 2020.
“The passage of Prof. Galadima is a painful loss not only to us in Nasarawa state but the country at large, creating a huge vacuum that will be difficult to fill,” he said.
Governor Sule, while noting that Professor Galadima’s scholarly exploits and contributions to the nation’s development are a source of pride to Nasarawa state, added that, his lifetime of service, where he displayed exceptional commitment to assigned responsibilities and distinguished himself as a peaceful and seasoned administrator.
He urge the immediate family, associates and colleagues of the deceased to remain strong and take solace in the worthy life he lived and the many legacies the deceased left behind as he prayed for the repose of his soul.
Professor Habu Galadima was an indigene of Toto local government area of Nasarawa State. He was appointed DG of NIPSS in August 2019 but unfortunately, died on Sunday morning during a brief illness.
