Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has dissolved the State Executive Council, a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Anthony Anwuka, said on Wednesday.
The dissolution which takes immediate effect, also affected all political appointees- Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants.
The SSG also ordered all the Special Advisers to hand over to his office while Commissioners are to hand over to their respective permanent secretaries.
In the case of other political appointees, Prof Anwuka directed them to handover to Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Eze Madumere.
It will be recalled that Governor Okorocha was a subject of political discourse for a long time when he constituted his cabinet and named large retinue of aides that were seen then as ‘job for the boys’ by pundits.
