Apparently to show his support for the FIFA Women’s World Cup- bound Super Falcons, the Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr on Friday morning paid a solidarity visit to the team’s training ground in Abuja. Rohr who met the Falcons during their morning training session at the Abuja National Stadium had on arrival engaged the coacing crew of the Falcons led by Thomas Dennerby in a close discussion for sometime before heading to Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) secretariat in Wuse where he later conferred with the Technical Director, Elder Biturus Bewarange. Rohr told PromptNews exclusively in Abuja that he would have loved to be with the Falcons in France in the summer but with his Eagles team participating in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) billed for Egypt at the same period he will not be traveling to France to give moral support to Falcons. According to the Franco- German tactician ” at the time Super Falcons will be playing in France, the Super Eagles will also be playing in Egypt at the same time. For this reason I decided to visit the team in Abuja to encourage them”. Rohr had also paid a solidarity visit to the Super Falcons prior to the team’s trip to Cameroon for African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) in 2016.
