The Flying Eagles of Nigeria earned a slim 1-0 victory over Water FC in their first friendly on Wednesday.
The encounter was played at the FIFA Gold Project Pitch, Abuja.
Bayelsa United forward Rabiu Abdullahi scored the decisive goal for the Flying Eagles.
The Flying Eagles are preparing for the WAFU B U-20 Championship in Togo.
The team started preparations for the competition last week Thursday.
Aliyu Zubairu was appointed head coach of the former African champions last month.
The WAFU Championship will decide the team that will represent the zone at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
