Impressed by the level of compliance, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has applauded workers for ensuring success in the first day of the nationwide warning strike held on Tuesday.
Prompt News reports that the President of NLC, Comrade Joe Ajaero has in a statement he personally signed said the congress is happy that workers have demonstrated that their words and decisions would always be backed by action.
The statement said: “This is to applaud all Nigerian workers through the actions of all our affiliates and state councils for the massive support and efforts at ensuring that the first day of the nationwide warning strike took off with a resounding success across the nation.”
The NLC called for more efforts to ensure that the loopholes observed in the first day are taken care of to ensure the success of the second day of the warning strike. READ ALSO:

Banks and business places were shut in some parts of the country on Tuesday. In Lagos, however, the warning strike did not witness success.
The NLC and its affiliates are, among other things, demanding more from the government to help workers cope with the removal of fuel subsidy.
