Old rivals Bendel Insurance of Benin City and Calabar Rovers football clubs will clash at Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, on Sunday in the First Round of the 2021 AITEO Cup competition just as five teams out of ten playing in the preliminary stagewill look to earn passage to the Second Round.
According to the fixtures for the competition released by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Competitions Department and signed by Wilfred Onaji, Head of AITEO Cup Competition, four other matches arebilled to take place in Jos, Minna, Ilorin and Abuja respectively.
At Rwan Pam Stadium in Jos, Plateau state, newcomers Ngwa United of Abia state will tackle traditional club, El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri while little-known FC Technobat will trade tackles with former Nigerian and African champions, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan at Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna.
In Ilorin Township Stadium, Bayelsa United will ambush NAF football club just as Aspire FC and Yobe Desert Warriors’ encounter will be decided on Sunday at FIFA Goal Project artificial ground at Abuja National Stadium Package B.
All the five matches will kick off by 4 pm even as NFF has directed the affected states Football Associations (FAs) to take charge of the supervision while FAs of the participating teams are to notify their respective clubs accordingly.
