FIFA President, Gianni Infantino has felicitated with Shehu Dikko on his recent appointment as chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC).
The NSC was recently revived by the Nigerian government following the scrapping of the Ministry of Sports.
Dikko, who was once a former vice-president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been saddled with responsibility of running the affairs of the NSC.
Infantino, in his congratulatory letter to the member of the FIFA Stakeholders Committee backed him to achieve greater success in his new assignment.
“On behalf of the international committee, I would like herewith to extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to you on the occasion of your recent appointment as the Chairman of the National Sports Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he stated.
“I am convinced that your knowledge and experience, but also your passion and personal qualities, will have a significant impact will have a significant impact in the accomplishment of your new tasks.
“I wish the best of luck, and every success for all the challenges that lie ahead and already a lot satisfaction in your new position.”
