Sports lovers across Nigeria especially football followers on Thursday, received cheering news as the Federal Government lifted the blanket ban on sporting activities in Nigeria.
In the wake of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic eight months ago, FG placed ban on all sporting activities across the country.
This piece of information was disclosed Thursday in Abuja by the Chairman of Presidential Task Force on (Covid-19) pandemic, Boss Mustapha during the weekly press briefing.
By this pronouncement by the PTF on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari, outdoor sports events have officially re-started even as the Federal Ministry of Sports and Youth Development and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will now authorize football leagues in Nigeria to return to pre-Covid-19 era.
But, the PTF warned that full protocols must be observed by all involved.
