The National Leadership of Federation of Ekiti State Students’ Union (FESSU) has installed Barrister Ayodele Ayeni as the Patron of the Union.
This is in line with Article 2, Section 4 of the union’s constitution and after due consultation and approval from necessary quarters, according to a statement jointly signed by FESSU National President and Secretary, AWOLOLA Charles Adewale, ADEBAYO Olabanjo Henry respectively.
The statement reads further: “The appointment was as a result of his love and interest towards the youth, development of the union and Ekiti State Students at large.
“Barrister Yemi as one of the founding fathers of the union has showed immense support toward the union and has assisted our members in different areas of life. Barrister Yemi Ayodele Ayeni who hails from Oye Ekiti, Ekiti state is a scholar, a man who valued education at its peak who has also bagged various degree as stated below:
-BSc Sociology (University of Ilorin),
-MSc Human Resource Management (Edinburgh Napier University-UK),
-LLB Law (University of East London),
-LLM International Law (Robert Gordon University-Scotland),
-BL-Barrister at Law (Nigeria Law School- Abuja),
-PhD in International Jurisprudence and Constitutionalism (The University of Sheffield in View)
“After the installation at Febson hotel, Abuja on the 30th of July, 2021 during his call to Bar celebration, he appreciated the leadership of the union for the special recognition and the award of excellence presented to him as The Patron of the union. He reinstated his commitment and promise further support to the union in all Area.
“Conclusively, we hereby use this medium to congratulate our patron on his call to Bar in Nigeria after many years of practice in UK. We pray Almighty God gives you the knowledge and strength to function in the best regards of your service.”
