By Gracious Akujobi Nigeria’s senior women football team, Super Falcons will resume camp on March 30, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced on Monday.
The resumption date was earlier fixed for April 6, but had to be shifted because the Falcons are now billed to engage the Lioness of Cameroon in a friendly match on April 15.
NFF General Secretary, Musa Amadu told Prompt News Online “Falcons are resuming camp on the 30th of March.
“The reason why Falcons will resume camp then is because we have a friendly match against the Lioness of Cameroon on April 15 in Abuja.
“Also, it is important that we begin to prepare the girls for the final leg against Rwanda in the final leg qualifier for the African Women Championship (AWC) and we all know it is important to qualify for the AWC in Namibia in October.
“We are not only looking to qualify for the AWC it is important that we do well at the AWC getting at the a third place finish we will enable us qualify for the World Cup in Canada 2015″.
