Salim Fago Lawal has been ruled out of the upcoming Unity Cup tournament, Prompt News reports.
The striker picked up an injury during Viktoria Plzen’s 2-0 win over Bohemians Praha in March, which has kept him sidelined.
He already missed the Super Eagles’ international friendlies against Iran and Jordan due to the setback.
According to Czech regional newspaper Plzeňský deník, Lawal is expected to miss the rest of the season after failing to recover in time.
Lawal was part of Nigeria’s squad at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Unity Cup is scheduled to kick off in Charlton on Tuesday, May 26, with Nigeria set to face Zimbabwe in the first semi-final.
