Super Falcons Head Coach Randy Waldrum has once again left the entire team behind at the hotel to travel back to his native country, United States of America (USA) in the wee hours of Tuesday after Nigeria was eliminated by England on Monday in Brisbane in the Round of 16 of the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup final in Australia and New Zealand.
Nigeria was edged out 4-2 in a penalty shootout by England thus ending the continued participation of Nigeria in the competition and less than 24 hours after his team’s elimination, Waldrum headed to Brisbane International Airport to catch the available flight back to his country.
Prompt News exclusively gathered that the coach who left with all the seven US-born Super Falcons players did not officially address the grieving players or the entire team before leaving the hotel in Brisbane on Tuesday.
According to camp sources, players and backroom staff were still asleep when the coach who is currently the Head Coach of University of Pittsburgh Panthers women’s soccer club left with the diaspora players including youth defender, Deborah Abiodun who is his player in Pittsburgh Panthers.
The players who left with him on Tuesday morning are US-born attackers Ifeoma Onumonu who plays for New York/New Jersey Gotham FC and Esther Okoronkwo of AS Saint-Etienne, France as well as defender Michelle Alozie of Houston Dash. READ ALSO:

Others are midfielders Toni Payne of Sevilla FC, Spain, Jennifer Onyi Echegini of Florida State University and third-choice goalkeeper Yewande Balogun of French Division 2 club AS Saint-Étienne.
The rest members of the Nigerian team are still in Brisbane, although some are expected to starting leaving for Nigeria from tomorrow with only United Kingdom-based Ashley Plumptre expected to depart for London later Tuesday.
