Manchester City kept pressure on leaders Arsenal after a commanding 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park.
Arsenal’s late victory over Wolves on Saturday had extended the gap to five points but Pep Guardiola’s men moved within two points of the Premier League leaders with the win.
Erling Haaland headed the opener from Matheus Nunes’ precise cross four minutes before the break.
Phil Foden continued his rich vein of goalscoring form by beating Dean Henderson from outside the box in the 69th minute.
Haaland added his second from the penalty spot late on.
Yeremy Pino and Adam Wharton both hit the woodwork for Palace in the game.
Manchester City will welcome West Ham United for their next league on Saturday.
Palace will be away to Leeds United same day.
