Elegbeleye has commended Governor Ramalan Yero for hosting the first leg of the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) against Cote D’Ivoire which the Super Eagles won by 4-1.
While also thanking the fans fro boosting the morale of the players to victory, the DG who was the special guest at the match, urged the players to brace up for the second leg so asto secure away win.
“I am happy that Kaduna is back to host matches of this magnitude. I am using this medium to thank His Excellency Governor of Kaduna for his huge interest in football and for hosting the game which Nigeria won to put smiles on the faces of football loving Nigerians.
“The fans have been wonderful as regards their support for the team throughout the game. It was a great match and a good result for the Super Eagles.
“What they need to do now is to go to Cote d’Ivoire for the return leg and defend this result. I am confident they can do this and make Nigeria proud”, Elegbeleye assured.
