The National Working Committee of the Progressive People’s Alliance has said that politicians who may want to join the party to realize their ambitions are welcomed.
This is even as the party distanced itself from the statement credited to one Samuel Udeogu in Ebonyi, on “why we don’t want Gov Elechi”, saying he could not speak for the party.
In a statement by PPA National Chairman, Peter Ameh, the party stated that “This unaltered, reckless and unauthorized statement from him 9Edeogu) offends Article 12 of the constitution of our great Party and has been summoned to appear before the National Working Committee of the Party on Monday 15th December 2014 to come and show cause why disciplinary action should not be taken against him.
“Our Party wants to assure all who wish to join forces with us that they are welcome as long as they respect the Party’s supremacy and key into our resolve to ensure prosperity to the people.
“The statement was authored by those who do not mean well for the development of the State and Eboyians in general and hereby urge all well meaning Eboyians and Members of the public to disregard such orchestrated statement has the person in question lacks the capacity to speak on behave of the Party”.
