The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has called on residents of Nasarawa state to continue to live in peace with one another, while praying for the nation to overcome its emerging challenges.
This message was contained in a press statement issued by the press secretary to the Speaker, Mr Jibrin Gwamna to mark the Eid-el Maulud celebration, and made available to newsmen in Lafia, Thursday.
Balarabe Abdullahi who felicitated with Muslim faithfuls as they marked the birthday of prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), enjoined them to tighten the bond of peace, unity and love for all which are the virtues of prophet Muhammad.
The speaker who described peace as essential for societal and national growth and prosperity called on all Nigerians to embrace it at all times to build an egalitarian society and prosperous nation.
He called on traditional and community leaders, youths and stakeholders to intensify preaching and campaign for peace, unity and tolerance among people, and the need for strict adherence to laws.
