A Superintendent of Police (SP), Moses Yamu on Wednesday assumed office as the new Police Public Relations Officer of the Police Command in Edo.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Yamu replaced SP Chidi Nwabuzor, who was transferred to Delta.
A statement from the Public Relations unit of the command, said Yamu was until this posting, a Staff Officer to the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Department of Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The new PPRO appealed for cooperation from the people of Edo State, promising to discharge his duties effectively.
Enlisted as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, the new spokesperson holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Nasarawa State University, Lafia.
He is a member of the National Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). (NAN).
