The collation of results from the Edo State governorship election held on Saturday will commence at 10 am today (Sunday).
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, disclosed in a statement issued early Sunday by the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Edo State, Dr Anugbum Omuoha.
“This is to inform the general public, stakeholders, and observers that the collation of results for the ongoing Edo State governorship election will resume today, Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 10 am,” the statement read.
“We appreciate the patience and cooperation of the parties as we strive to ensure a credible and accurate outcome of this important election,” the statement reads.
He enjoined all stakeholders to remain calm and orderly, assuring that the electoral umpire would deliver a free, fair, and transparent election in Edo State.
The REC assured the public that the collation process would be conducted with full transparency, in line with the commission’s existing regulations.
